Shideh Motia

Shideh is a Toronto based textile artist and the founder of Nour, a creative practice rooted in embroidery, textiles, and handmade art. She studied fashion in Iran, and Fashion Business and Management at Centennial College after moving to Canada.

Through Nour, she works with thread, felt, fabric, beads, and hand stitching to create textile art, accessories, and wearable pieces that are playful, tactile, and shaped by the beauty of handmade details. She also teaches embroidery workshops in Toronto, where she encourages people to experiment and enjoy the process rather than focusing on perfection.
